Ingredients to make Fried Husband Wait:
For mass:
1 kilogram of wheat flour
1½ cups of warm milk
½ cup of oil (120 milliliters)
½ cup of sugar (80 grams)
3 medium eggs
2 tablets of fresh biological yeast (30 g)
sunflower oil for frying
For the syrup:
2 cups of sugar (320 grams)
1 cup of water (240 milliliters)
grated coconut to taste
How to do Wait fried husband:
To make this muffin start by dissolving the yeast in warm milk. When well dissolved, beat this milk with yeast in a blender along with the oil, eggs and sugar.
Put the flour in a large bowl and open a small hole in the center. Place the blender mixture there and start mixing from the center to the sides, until everything is very well incorporated.
Knead and knead with your hands for 10-15 minutes, or until you get a soft dough that comes off the bowl. Shape into a ball, place in a bowl greased with oil and let the dough rise for 1-2 hours, covered with a cloth.
Tip: If the dough is too soft after kneading, add a little more flour. This kneading procedure will be easier if you prepare it with a hook mixer.
Meanwhile, prepare the syrup: simply place the sugar and water in a pan and cook until it turns to a colorless and slightly thick syrup. Turn off the heat and set aside.
After the expectant husband's dough rises, transfer it to a floured counter and roll it open. Cut into strips, roll a little with your hands and cut into 10-15 cm rolls. Make a little knot out of each of these rolls (like a lace knot) and place it on a floured board.
Heat the sunflower oil in a deep skillet or pan and, when hot, fry the nuts (4 to 6 at a time). When they are golden, remove to a plate with absorbent paper and let the excess oil drain. Fry the remaining pieces in the same way.
Pour the sugar syrup over the waiting husband, sprinkle the grated coconut to taste and you're ready! Indulge in this Brazilian delicacy and tell us what you think in the comments. Enjoy your food!
